Spring smells of exile (Tampa, Boccadasse, Marbella, Granada, Prague, Saint-Martin-de-Ré, Boston, Montreal and Folegandros)

Spring is the natural act of being reborn, it represents the new beginning as a cyclical element of life. Within the migratory crises, exile has been understood as a spring stage, a way to begin new paths. In this work, the artist represents seven different spaces that have been photographed by his relatives and close people outside of Cuba. Witnessing the migratory phenomenon creates a binary relationship of discovery and adoration, a bond that explores the phytomorphic and geometric elements of the hydraulic tiles, typical of the same place as a symbol of the home, with the dissimilar foreign spaces.
